Cinderella is the main protagonist of Disney's live-action film of the same name.

Cinderella is portrayed by Lily James in live-action romantic fantasy film Cinderella. Ella is the young woman from the film, after her mother dies her father (the merchant) remarries due to the tragic death of Ella's mother. In order to support her loving father she welcomes her new stepmother, Lady Tremaine and her two daughters, Anastasia and Drizella. But when Ella's father goes on an trip to an unknown location and passes away during his trip, Ella finds herself in at the mercy of jealousy, ice-cold venom, abuse and ridicule unloving step family.

Eventually, Ella is relegated to nothing more than a servant girl and spitefully renamed "Cinderella" for working in the cinders. Cinderella started to lose hope . Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Cinderella is determined to honor her mother's dying words and to "have courage and be kind." She will not give in to despair, nor despise those who abuse her. Then, there was a dashing stranger whom she met in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince and not merely an employee at the Palace, Cinderella finally feels she has met a kindred spirit. It appears as if her fortunes may be about to change when the Palace sends out an invitation for all maidens to attend the ball, thus raising Cinderella's hope of a second encounter with the charming "Kit." Alas, her evil stepmother, Tremaine, forbids her from attending the ball and Cinderella's stepsisters proceed to callously rip apart her dress. Crushed by their cruelty, Cinderella runs to the garden in tears and encounters an old beggar woman who lends a helping hand by magically transforming a pumpkin into carriage, mice into horses, lizards into footmen and a goose into a coachman. She also transforms Cinderella's torn dress into a ball gown with glass slippers however, the woman warns Ella that the spell will only last until midnight.
